People I’ll Never Know, Places I’ll Never Go
“People I’ll Never Know, Places I’ll Never Go” is a series of paintings from found photographs that deals with access to time and the urgency of memory. I apply this theme to my practice by limiting myself to one hour to create a large-scale painting and a complimenting postcard size painting of the found photographs. This emphasizes our innate responses to imagery, as they can be vehicles for accessing important memories.
